Tomorrow I get paid. While likely very little I am going to buy as much food as I can. This week I ran out of food and have been eating whatever scraps that I can. I have postponed running until I have a reliable food source, it's too demanding on the body and leaves me feeling damaged.

Math class is going well. I have another test on Monday the 20th which I look forward to taking. Hopefully I can arrange a few study groups for this weekend.

I work this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Hopefully I can get more hours starting next week. I've been considering getting a second job. I figure that I'll start hunting tomorrow morning.

It's wabbit season... and I'm hunting wabb... I mean secondary employment.

I can't wait to be eaten by a bear.

Turn The Tables

I sold my turntables and mixer to a UCSB student yesterday. I feel much better about the whole ordeal. You know when you sell something you really care about you don't want it to go to joe shmoe? Yeah, I was worried that it would come down to it and I would have to just put up with it. But as it turns out this kid was alright and will put the tables to good use and have a lot of fun with them.

The Bad News: Lost my turn tables, resulting in an end of an era in my history.
The Good News: Paid late half of rent and the entirety of next months rent yesterday.

All in all it was for the best and I have returned to a low stress self. I'm headed off to class soon. Oh yeah! Yesterday I got my trig test back and I did very well. I still have an A in the class and I'm stoked on the coming weeks of brain package.

UAS Application: Part 2

I just got back from mailing my transcripts over to UAS. I opted for the $7.68 priority 4-5 business days versus the slanderous $52.38 get there Tuesday-ority. So goes! I'll hear back within a couple of weeks. Then its time to fill out the Financial Aid and Student Housing applications. It's going to be nuts!! Can't wait.. I love nuts!

Breakfast, Transcripts, Selling.

Today is my Dads birthday and this morning we went to Eggs'n'Things for breakfast and it was delicious as ever. After that I headed home and Immediately biked over to school and picked up my transcripts. I'm pretty stoked about it. Now I have both transcripts and can send them up to Alaska, which I'm planning on doing within the hour. On a different note I have found some one very interested in my turntables. Just the tables, not the mixer. He is going to come by either tomorrow or Sunday. If all goes well I should have enough money to pay the remaining $325 owed for rent and pay next months rent almost a month early. I've got work at five today and have a lot to do before hand.

Brain Fart: Blues

I've got the I ain't got enough money for rent and can't afford to eat blues.. yeah yeah I do.. I've got the icky sticky can't hardly get by but I know that it'll get better one day blues.. yeah yeah I do.. and I know that in my future If I keep my finances closer I'll have less worries blues.. oooooh yeah I do.

Times are really proving difficult. I really feel a lot of contrast these days. The old me versus the real me. The old me would be depressed and lethargic but the new me is very optimistic and energetic and I know that I'll be okay and happy as long as my priorities are strait. It feels great to be oneself.

Tomorrow morning I'm going into Wells Fargo to apply for a personal loan. I hate the idea, but I hate the idea of being unreliable even more. I'm embarrassed that I've come up short on rent. Hopefully I'll be approved for a small loan and can pay rent and buy some groceries soon.

Love, oxygen, and future goals are all I need to keep me happy. Currently I have all three and can see a not so distant (January) light at the end of the tunnel. Until then my peeps.

Today: Mega Man 9, Math Class, Running, & Work

When I woke up this morning I had a good chunk of free time. So I popped on my trusty imaginary Mega Man helmet and gave the new Mega Man 9 another go. Currently I can beat two of the levels and bosses pretty easily. This morning I'm working on another level. When I started this morning I couldn't get past the half way check point. But by the time I was leaving for class I had almost killed the boss, twice. Math class was great today. I learned a lot and had a good time interacting. After class I came strait home and went for a run. When I got back from my run there was a surprise at my door. It was my Official OCC transcripts!! About time too!! Tomorrow I'm going to put in the order for my Official Moorpark transcripts which will hopefully only take a couple of days. I'm going to try and overnight them or express ship them to the UAS admissions office. The times coming close people! I'll be well on my way soon!!

The time now is get ready for work time. So, my fair readers, I bid you adieu.

I have two tests next week. On Monday I have a trigonometry test and on Wednesday I have a music appreciation test. Today will be spent going over study questions for math and building a library of flash cards for music. I'm also trying to get another math study group formed for today and tomorrow. I like going over math in a group. Everyone helps each other out. When you feel like you know something perfectly.. somebody else will show you how dumb you are.

UAS Application: Part 1

This morning around 10:30am I filled out the online portion of my application to the University Of Alaska Southeast. It was a relatively painless procedure. Now all I need to do is send over my official transcripts from both Moorpark and Orange Coast. I should have both of those in my hand within a weeks time. I plan on rush sending them to the school. Once they have all of my information and I am admitted then I can fill out the rest of the forms for student housing and financial aid. Both of which I need to get filled out as quickly as possible. The next coming weeks should be an exciting time. Well.. I'm excited.

UAS - Phone Call

I called up the University Of Alaska Southeast office of Admissions today to ensure that I would have a smooth transfer after acceptance into the mathematics program. I must say that I have never experienced service this great from a school especially over the phone!! Within twenty five minutes I had spoken to people in four departments and had obtained all the information I needed. No hassles, fudge, or baloney. The feeling I got from the call was a solid feeling of relief. I really feel like this is going to be a great academic choice.

Now all I need to do is apply.. with a $50 dollar processing fee?!?! Arrrrggg. Okay. What else can I sell?

Albertsons: The Job Interview

After filling out well over thirty job applications I finally have a job interview. Tomorrow, Wednesday the 23rd, at Albertsons. Hopefully this works out and I can't start as soon as Thursday. I believe that I'm going in for the Customer Service Clerk position. Which is a minimum of sixteen hours a week. I'm looking for thirty two plus. I plan on asking about additional hours doing overnight merchandise stalking.

Well it's that time again. Time to survive. My epic quest for a job has left me high and dry. So while I am still running around like a headless chicken I have made the decision to sell my stuff. I'll be selling my XBOX 360, Wii, Triton, Turntables, Telecaster, Amp, and anything else that is not edible. I realllllly don't want to sell my amp. So, it will be the last thing to go.. just in case I can squeeze by without selling it.

I'm really excited for this struggle to come to an end. I know that the next couple of months are going to be hard, but I look forward to my adventure to Juneau. It is going to be a very positive experience. Then once I've obtained my degree I won't have to worry about these financial burdens. There will always be a need for mathematicians.

Jacket Shopping

So, I'm a tad worried about the move to Alaska. I have little to no warm clothes. I don't know how I'll survive the harse California winter with my current rags (rags: a term that people use in southern California for articles of clothing that retail for less than 200 US dollars). Lately I've spent a little time looking at online retailers rei and backcountry who have a large selection of winter coats. I have an Idea of what I want but I won't order anything online until I have physically tried it on in a store and know that I like it. Returning stuff from online can be a bitch of a process.

Now all I have to do is save up enough dough, do my research, try it on at a store, and click yes on the order form, then proceed to pretend like I actually put out some sort of effort. I'm not a name brand type, but as it seems in outdoor gear often pricier items (not always!) are worth it in the long run.

Exciting Times.

P.S. - School is going grrrrreat this semester. I wish I had another class but maybe it's a good thing that I don't so I can have more time to work (if I ever find a job! ugh!) and save up.

Today I am going to ride over to school and give the transfer center a good solid visit. There I will obtain anything and everything I can about UAS. I have already requested official information from the school. A little later this afternoon I plan on calling the school directly to fill in the blanks on any questions I might have left.

With the rest of my time I will be filling out even more job applications. It's too bad that there is no job for filling these puppies out, oh because I could be a badonkagillionaire by now. I'm considering the possibility of selling some treasured Items. Times are tight and I've got to pay rent yet have very little pretzel moneys.

Well.. it's 8:20 AM and I'm still in bed (minus the exception at 7:20 when I got up to eat breakfast) so I better get up and at em. It's going to be a long and glorious day.
